The Friday Edit: Vol. 2

What I Did This Week

This week has been completely focused on getting back to real life after vacation. Unpacking, cleaning (I’ve washed my bedding like 8 times because Mr. Montana has been exercising his anger through bodily functions on the bed), resetting my routines, and restarting at work. And I am already tired again lol. I also have to buy a real alarm clock ASAP because my phone has been failing me lately.

Fun // Interesting // Introspective

Decluttering tips, if that’s something you’re working on this year.

I’m really intrigued by the new Summer Fridays retinol, it’s reviewing as really good for sensitive skin and is much more affordable than the Biossance retinols.

Is it luck or privilege?

Post-pandemic behaviour weirdness.

Meghan is one of the bloggers I trust most for beauty recommendations, so this list of 2022 favourites was an instant read for me.

Am I a fan of the KarJenners, meh, have the younger ones had some amazing ‘fits lately, absolutely.

I’m also in my oatmeal era, more of a baked oatmeal era than this author.

How Tinder changed everything.

How to break bad money habits.

I’m very intrigued by the three-word method to describe your personal style.

25 easy tasks to simplify your life.

If I had a nickel for every time male masturbators came up this week, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice. I wasn’t going to include this, but then I remembered that it came up earlier this week as well and I couldn’t not.

Am I getting old or does Bonnaroo have a better line up than Coachella?

The chicest activewear round up I’ve ever seen.

Lauren’s blog was one of the first I ever read, I haven’t read it in a while, but it feels like I lost something this week.

An excerpt of Aubrey Gordon’s newest book: You Just Need to Lose Weight and 19 Other Myths About Fat People.

Cozy recipes list.

Pretty and Practical:

I haven’t been shopping that much this week, I did DM a girl I know who is doing the same grad school program I did to ask if I can buy a new sweatshirt this year because I destroyed mine in the pandemic by wearing it all the time and I miss it so much. It was so comfy and cozy and I miss it.

This is a niche need lol, but we have a denim themed event coming up and I don’t own any denim tops: hence this vest. IDK if this meets my self-determined criteria of pretty or practical lol.

I’ve been thinking about black platform Mary Jane shoes for soooooo long. I’m so torn between like a velvet or a patent leather. Thoughts?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Laura
