OMG what a week, and a full documentation of every outfit I wore this week. This week was everything that I hoped it would be, I saw so many friends, I ate so much good food, I went to TWO pilates classes, I met cool new people. I did a wee bit of shopping. I got out to Guelph. It was perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.
I was so excited to be in the city that I didn’t wear headphones while out basically at all. I just wanted to absorb everything all the sights and sounds. Hell, I was even kind of excited to see a rat. Although, the chubby racoon on Queen Street was much better.
High: Literally everything, my two Pilates classes at Sweat and Tonic (which I am in love with), every meal I had with friends, the time I spent wandering the city alone, getting over my fear of streetcars, generally using public transit.
Low: Where I stayed. I think my time in North American hostels is done. European hostels are so traveller focused, they never feel like a shelter. The hostels all say on their websites that they don’t allow people from the GTA, however in reality that does not seem to be the case. I think I am fully back on the hotel train (although the hostel that I stayed in in Montreal was excellent, so is the one in Thunder Bay, so idk).

Monday//
What I did: Spent the whole day with my best friends. It was like magic, I think I floated back to my accommodations I couldn’t believe it. It felt like a day from a movie. We got brunch at Lady Marmalade, wandered around Leslieville, got drinks at Bellwoods Brewery, and then dinner at Mamakas Taverna. It was the best day I’ve had in ages.
What I wore: Dress – Hill House Home (mine is the previous year’s version and let down as much as possible), Turtleneck – Talbots, Tights – Snag, Awkward pose – the lack of full length mirrors that day.

Tuesday//
What I did: Wandered around Ossington, Dundas West, and Queen West before meeting up with one of my sorority sisters for dinner. I took this in Anthropologie on Queen West and I loved that it was in an old church, look at the floors, aren’t they stunning?
What I wore: Coat – L.L. Bean, Bodysuit – Aritzia, Pants – old – Joe Fresh, Boots – Doc Marten

Wednesday//
What I did: went to a Pilates class at Sweat and Tonic, did an exchange on a Christmas gift at the Eaton Centre, got coffee at Dineen Coffee Co., went back to a store that I stopped at the day before, V de V, to buy a bag I hadn’t stopped thinking about, and met up with another sorority sister that evening for dinner. Oh, and bought wired headphones for my iPhone (because we have to do that now), I was tired of charging headphones and always wondering where the case was or whatever.
What I wore: Dress – old – Joe Fresh, Tights – Snag, Boots – Doc Marten

Thursday//
What I did: Went out to Guelph (where I went to university and grad school), got coffee at this amazing new coffee shop called Found (the pear toast, OMG), wandered around and bought a book at the BookShelf, but most of the places I wanted to go were closed, so I went to Baker Street Station and sat at the bar and read my book and drank a couple ciders and ate French fries. I felt like my Granda, he likes to disappear into pubs and get a beer and a cup of tea and read the paper.
What I wore: Slip Dress – Aritzia, Turtleneck – Talbots, Tights – Snag, Boots – Doc Marten

Friday//
What I did: pack up, fly from Toronto to Thunder Bay, stop at Indigo and Sephora, drive back to Sioux Lookout, and wash my sheets because Montana had pooped in my bed. I also called my parents from the road (hands-free of course) because I saw a flat deck trailer with a livestock trailer strapped to the top of it and that was how we moved from the United States to Canada and it made me laugh.
What I wore: Sweatsuit top – Joe Fresh and bottoms – Joe Fresh, Vest – L.L. Bean, Coat – L.L. Bean, Purse – Matt and Nat (I cannot find this online anywhere), Bag – Beis, Boots – Sorel.

Saturday//
What I did: Unpacked and started cleaning
What I wore: T-shirt – old – Aerie, Leggings – old – Joe Fresh.

Sunday//
What I did: Continued cleaning, did groceries and some meal prep.
What I wore: Hoodie – old – Joe Fresh, T-shirt – old – Aerie, Leggings – old – Joe Fresh.
Have a great week!
Laura
