A Week in Outfits

In full transparency, I absolutely cheated when it came to getting all these outfit pics, but it is a benefit of being such an outfit repeater. On Wednesday and Thursday I was at a conference and my lodging situation was constantly changing so taking photos of my outfits was not a priority, but luckily for us I have worn those outfits several times already and was able to just reuse previously taken photos, so we still get a full week in outfits.

Also, in more exciting news, I have moved my table and chairs (well currently only one chair as the other chair is holding my mending pile, outside! I am writing this while sitting in the sun! With socks, pants, and a hoodie on, but still outside! In the sun! Glory days again.

Last Week’s High: Getting to meet some colleagues from other agencies that I had only met virtually in person.

This Week’s Goal: Actually write all five blog posts for the week, start walking to work again. And basically just take advantage of the weather turning good again, especially since it is like a month earlier than last spring.

All of my “nice” outfits were worn with Doc Martins this week and my casual outfits, if I left the house with Sorel snow boots, I am currently on the hunt for an in-between, “there is still snow on the ground, but it’s melting so everything is wet and mucky and it’s warm so my feet are sweating in my snow boots, but I need better traction than wellies” boot. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don’t really want Blundstones because they have almost become too common now.

Monday//

What I did: Worked from the office, wrapped stuff up from a work trip the week before and tried to prep some stuff before leaving for a conference on Tuesday. Packed for said conference.

What I wore: Dress – Old – Joe Fresh, Tights – Snag

Tuesday//

What I did: drove to and attended the first day of the conference, got dinner with a work friend who lives there and stayed with her that night since by the time our travel department got round to booking my accommodations there were no hotel rooms for this night.

What I wore: Sweater – old – Boutique, Pants – old – Joe Fresh.

Wednesday//

What I did: Packed up, went to day two of the conference, drove through what was hopefully the last blizzard of the season, checked into my hotel, used the hotel gym(!), and ordered Pizza Hut to eat from my hotel bed. This was thrilling because we don’t have any food delivery services where I live.

What I wore: Turtleneck – old – Joe Fresh, Pants – old – Joe Fresh, Belt – old – Mark’s WorkWearHouse

Thursday//

What I did: Last day of the conference, did my groceries in that town, drove back home. I had been really worried about the drive because of the storm the day before so I pushed it back as long as I could before it would be dark by the time I hit the bit of road I was worried about but it ended up being totally fine.

What I wore: Sweater – Amazon, Pants – Old – Boutique

Friday//

What I did: Slept in, laundry, unpacked, tidied up. Mostly relaxed, I was pretty shattered after the past couple weeks.

What I wore: Quarter-zip: Grad school merch, Shorts – Girlfriend Collective (Girlfriend is pretty notorious for running small, but in my opinion take your normal size in these, I sized up and they are too loose, great for lounging but I don’t workout in them because they move around too much). Slippers – L.L. Bean (currently on sale!)

Saturday//

What I did: Cleaned out my closet, made pancakes. Cleaning out my closet took most of the weekend honestly.

What I wore: Workout tank – old – Joe Fresh, Shorts – Girlfriend Collective

Sunday//

What I did: Finished cleaning out my closet, started to put stuff away again and tidy up.

What I wore: Workout tank – old – Joe Fresh, Leggings – Lululemon

Have a great week!

Laura
