December Empties: The End

Okay, that’s a bit dramatic, but this is the last monthly empties post. I do have to say that it is already feeling very freeing to not have to keep my empty containers. I just clean them out and dispose of them according to my municipality’s recycling instructions. It feels weird that it feels so good but it’s kind of metaphorical, no more holding on to stuff in 2023. We are lighter, we don’t hang on to stuff we don’t need anymore.

Kevin Murphy dry shampoo – I bought this from where I get my hair cut, they told me that it was comparable to the Living Proof dry shampoo (because they don’t carry Living Proof anymore), but I didn’t like it as much as the Living Proof, I burned through it super quickly and I didn’t love the scent.

Contact solution. Again.

Farmacy Deep Sweep Exfoliating Toner – I love this stuff, although I think I want to try the Paula’s Choice next.

Garnier Shampoo Bar – I bought this when I goofed and ordered conditioner instead of shampoo, I much prefer the Good Juju shampoo bar to anything else I’ve ever tried.

Every Farmacy product you buy comes with a little sample of something (which I get from a capitalism perspective, but not a waste perspective), this was the sample in my last order of Green Clean. I’ve tried it every time I get it and I don’t love it. It’s not bad, but it’s not great.

More contact waste.

Toothpaste

Nars Radiant Complete Concealer, I really like this but I’m not currently repurchasing because Nars tests on animals, so I’m looking for an alternative that doesn’t.

Farmacy Green Clean. This is one of my very favourite products, nothing gets makeup off like it. It takes off everything from heavy eye make up to heavy duty liquid lipstick.

This chapstick was decent, I don’t think it was strong enough for the dryness of my apartment or where I live, it doesn’t hold a candle to the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm or the Carmex I’m currently using.

Tomorrow will be a round up of the past two years of Project Pan, but if you would like a chaotic, short-form version I made a TikTok.
