A Week-ish in Outfits

Back when all of that early days of the pandemic stuff was trending on TikTok (people were romanticizing those initial “two weeks inside”), I didn’t get it. But I kind of do now, I think I maybe just need a proper vacation, but I would really love two weeks with limited work, no social engagements, just Netflix and take out. Although now I work in public health so it would not be relaxing at all, but a girl can dream.

High: Planning a trip to Montreal with my girl friends for while I am in home in Ottawa.

Low: We went north for a program this week, and only 4 people came. I am happy to deliver a program to one person, but the amount of money that gets spent to deliver a program to a remote, fly-in community is immense and it’s hard to justify the expense when you get poor attendance.

What I did: went to work

What I wore: Dress – old – Reitman’s (I wish I had taken a picture of the back, it has a bow on it at the back of the neck and it was tied beautifully and it came undone in the wash and now I have to figure out how to recreate it). Tights – Snag, Shoes – old – Vionic.

lol there’s a reason why I call it a “week-ish”.

What I did: Went to work, pet sat

What I wore: Blouse – old – Lilly Pulitzer, Trousers – Old Navy

What I did: finished pet sitting (just a one-nighter), work, volunteered to look after my boss’s puppy that had just gotten released from the vet for the weekend

What I wore: Knit Tank – old – H&M, Skirt – old – boutique

What I did: pet sat, tried to clean, was tired

What I wore: T-shirt – old – American Eagle, Bike Shorts – Girlfriend Collective (I sized up to a xxxl in these because I heard that the brand ran small, after a couple wears I should have taken my normal size or maybe even sized down).

What I did: took the puppy down to have a puppy play date with my friend, hung out, read, relaxed

What I wore: Dress – Hill House Home (the white version is currently on sale), Bike Shorts – Girlfriend Collective (if you don’t like this dress with the bike shorts under it, I would say that you need to be very confident with high hemlines, or are shorter than 5’5″).

Have a great week!
