What a rollercoaster of a week, we went from winter to summer, it was a whirlwind professionally. I am a candidate for Lasik. I feel like I’ve experienced a sudden rush of serotonin due to sunshine, good news, and the promise of a free weekend, it feels superb.
I feel like I should have something to say about abortion rights, but I don’t have anything. I am pro-choice through and through, and lately coming back out of community, where you have less internet and cell service access, feels like a relief, because the workload is about to reduce, but also is terrifying. You never know what has happened out here in the real world, and this was another gut punch that I have not yet had time to process.
The Kentucky Derby is today, and this is the only sporting event I care about (beside the Rolex show jumping and triple eventing), here’s what’s going on this year, a brief history of the Derby, and some classic Southern food if you last minute decide to watch.
And of course, about the hats.
The only Met Gala review I actually enjoyed reading.

What to expect if you are travelling to Europe this summer.
What do the Northern Irish election results mean for Ireland, the UK, and the EU?
How fashion brands invited the idea of the “All-American”.
How to identify fatphobia and medical bias in medical professionals.

I love this raffia round up.
Kim Cattral’s thoughts on And Just Like That… honestly the classiest way to say I believe it’s a dumpster fire.
Choosing clothes that don’t need washed as often.
I’m really excited about the Elvis Presley biopic, Elvis, it’s a Baz Luhrmann movie so I am guaranteed to love it, and Kacey Musgraves and Doja Cat are doing covers for the soundtrack.
I’m also ecstatic about the Josephine Baker movie starring Janelle Monae as Josephine, it’s part jazz movie in Paris, part French Resistance spy movie, it’s going to be amazing.
I’m super intrigued by this smashed pea toast recipe.
We got a memo this week that while we are not back in office, our work does understand that other companies are and we now have permission to go to in person if they are requesting an in-person meeting. Which now means I need to learn how to dress for the office again.
Wednesday is my least favorite day of the week, here’s some ideas for getting through that mid-week slump.
A review of the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower.
