Movies I CANNOT Wait To See

This will feel unrelated, but I promise it is. I love Christmas, I always look forward to it. However, this year I think that I am even more excited to be going home and close to an urban area, and hopefully spending some time in Toronto and Guelph and I am so excited to have access to things again. I’m going to do a whole post on my plan for while I’m home, but one of the big things on my to-do list is to see movies and I have a list of movies that I am so excited for!

So a reminder, I don’t live in a town with a movie theatre, so yes, some of these are in theatres now and could be out of theatres by the time I’m home, but I live in hope. I just googled the nearest theatres and they’re actually in Minnesota, so the closest movie theatre is in a different country, and now I’m laughing to keep from crying.

House of Gucci

Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, the history of a family that is a pillar of the haute couture, the scenery of Italy and New York City, disco, and a true-crime story. What else could a girl ask for? The trailer for this movie looks absolutely fantastic, and I am so excited to see this.

Spencer

Every time I watch the trailer I get chills, and since it’s out this weekend so many people are starting to share their opinions and I haven’t seen a negative one yet.

No Time to Die

I think I have seen every Bond movie, and for some reason they are synonymous with Christmas for me, maybe because that’s when my Dad would get the VHS or DVD of the movie in the time before streaming. Also I do think that Daniel Craig may be the second best Bond after Sean Connery, and this will be his last Bond film so it’s a must see.

Marvel’s Eternals

I have seen every single MCU movie in a theatre, which is getting to be an impressive feat, so I’m not about to let this one go. I also love MCU movies that the boys hate, so I’m certain to enjoy this. However, I am concerned that since Spiderman: No Way Home will be coming out in December that this will be out of theatres by Christmastime.

King Richard

I’m pretty sure I saw the trailer for this in the previews of Black Widow this July in Thunder Bay and thought it looked amazing. It’s about Venus and Serena Williams rise to tennis stardom, but mostly about their father who was their coach and trainer when they were kids and helped them become the players they are today.

Spiderman: No Way Home

THIS LOOKS SO GOOD!!! That and I have so many questions.

Belfast

I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t seen my extended family in so long or been back to Belfast and Northern Ireland since 2018 but this made me weep. I have a feeling it will have a similar effect on me as Brooklyn. Which translates to I will be sobbing. Also I am so glad that Jaime Dornan is in this movie, it’s so rare that actors from Northern Ireland make it, so he was the best, most natural choice for this film.

The French Dispatch

This just looks so fun.

So apparently, I need to budget $200 for movie tickets while I’m home lol. But this could be really fun.
