Autumn Needlepoint Canvases

I have not been stitching a lot lately, or reading, I notice that when I’m getting stressed or overwhelmed the only thing I do is watch TV or movies. I also need to do a threads order so that I can stitch the canvases I have. However, browsing canvases is one of my favourite pastimes, and then closing the browser without buying anything. Actually, I think that’s a favourite pastime for any kind of consumption, fill an online shopping cart and then hit that red x in the top corner and say goodbye to it all.

These Blue and White Pumpkins

I don’t have a lot of autumn or Halloween decorations. I have two little glass pumpkins and that is it. We didn’t do a lot of Halloween decorating when I was growing up, probably because my parents didn’t grow up celebrating it in Northern Ireland. I would like to have more, but I would like them to fit in with what I would like my decor to be. These are so beautiful and you could stitch the stems in a gold Silk Lame Braid for some sparkle.

Home is…

I have wanted this canvas since I first saw the cocker spaniel version on Carly’s Instagram, but I couldn’t find the cat version for ages. I thought I had moved away from my blue and white kick, but clearly not.

Judaica Pomegranate

So this was a Rosh Hashanah design that Rachel did, but I just think it is absolutely beautiful and would make a gorgeous ornament. And I’m happy to buy and support a Jewish design if it increases the demand for them and shows designers and stockists that Jewish canvases are wanted by needlepointers so that more are made and stocked.

Equestrian Designs

One. Two. Three. Four.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get riding lessons working up here. There’s a place for it, and I have contacted them in every method they have listed on their website, so I guess instead I will stitch my horse girl heart out instead.

I also bought this fabulous canvas from Morgan Julia Designs, it’s a Kacey Musgraves saying, it was a super limited run and was only sold on her insta-stories so I don’t have a picture of it, but it’s her quote “I didn’t say F-ing Yee” and I can just see it as a brown fringed leather clutch. It will be perfection. I can’t wait for it to arrive.

What are you stitching at the moment?
