So this is super late – oops, but I totally forgot that today was Wednesday and then I got a last minute appointment to have my summer tires put on and drove my car out there and then decided to walk back. The walk took two hours. It started raining. I got completely soaked. And of course was wearing a white t-shirt. And had to walk through town. I was wearing a sports bra, but I was essentially a walking wet t-shirt contest, it made me very glad I don’t know anyone here.
I think we have officially reached the return of noughties fashion and beauty. I’m very excited for the return of flares and lip gloss; really not into the return of tightlining, low-rise pants (and I mean 3 inch rises not the 9 inch rise I saw on American Eagle that was marketed as “low-rise” lol), and chunky highlights.
I love Julia Berolzheimer’s style so much, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford it, but I her style and home are so gorgeous. I’m loving their backyard renovation.
Carly did a round-up of summer needlepoint canvases and I think that I feel inspired to stitch again (that and my necklight arrived at my PO Box today so I’ll actually be able to see to stitch when I have time to stitch!)
I really want to get a pair of espadrilles, and the author’s story at the beginning really makes me with that I had known about Casa Hernanz and bought some espadrilles, but I guess I’ll just have to add it to my trip back. Which, I definitely thought would have been before now, but that’s life.
I’m in desperate need of reading inspiration, all of my hobbies have been very uninteresting as of late, so Carly and Grace putting out reading lists this past week was very useful.
I really liked this video from Gittemary, you don’t have to be a minimalist to be eco-friendly and minimalism is rooted in an aesthetic and an art style that has been made into a lifestyle.
It’s backyard makeover season bay-bee:
I am pumped for a full-on 1920s roaring twenties, fashion blow up. So, let’s look at some iconic party looks shall we?
Have a great rest of your week!
