December is going to be quite a boring and practical month, except for Christmas presents, but everything I am buying for myself is going to be replacements or services.
One. Plane tickets home for the holidays.
Two. Christmas presents, I honestly have no clue what I am going to buy for most people.
Three. Tights. I should have bought tights months ago, I can’t wear like half my fall/winter wardrobe without tights. I bought three pairs from my favourite tights brand, Snag. I bought the Opaque 80 Denier Tights, the Black Merino Wool Tights, and the Grannies Merino Wool Tights (they have a subtle cable knit to them that I thought could spice up some of my boring all black winter outfits a bit).
Four. Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer. I’m out of skin tint/tinted moisturizer/general light coverage base makeup. I have foundation, but I don’t like to wear makeup that heavy on the daily, so I need to replace it. I am currently using the Glossier Skin Tint and I don’t love it, I want something a bit fuller coverage, and I hate the smell of the Ilia Skin Tint, so we’re trying the Rare Beauty.
Five. Car Repair. I have bought a new bottle of coolant, a top up of oil, four new gaskets, (another) water outlet housing, and an engine wash, plus a tow and the labour. Yeah.
Six. Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen Facial Oil. I am nearly out of my face oil, I went with a drugstore one last time, and I did not love it. There is an intriguing new Olay one, but idk; I really want to go back to my all-time favourite the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, but it’s gone up in price to $100 CAD and I just can’t do that, it feels insane. So I think I’m going to settle in the middle and try this Summer Fridays one.
Seven. Urban Decay Mini All-Nighter Setting Spray. I’m travelling with a carry-on only for the holidays, and the thing with the holidays is you are wearing more makeup. Normally when I’m going home I am minimal on the makeup, if there is any, but not at the holidays.
Eight. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Travel Size. I used to just take some of the big tub and put it in a little tub, but then when I was travelling in July I bought this and unfortunately it was so nice and I have been ruined by a squeeze-tube.
Nine. Milk Makeup Mini Hydro-Grip Primer. The full-size of this does technically meet the liquids bag requirements but it takes up so much space in the bag and every millimetre counts.
And that is it for the month of December!
