The Friday Edit: Vol. 36

Don’t worry there’s a lot less vomit talk this week.

I took Monday and Tuesday off as sick days and also took myself to the ER on Monday night because I was not getting better. It was a good call because I was very dehydrated. I think I had thrown up so much on Tuesday and then was too scared to drink water on Wednesday because I hadn’t been able to keep it down, and then Thursday I was scared that if I ate or drank anything I wouldn’t get home and I think I just reached a point of dehydration and nausea that I couldn’t recover from it on my own with just water (I don’t keep electrolytes or anything like that in the house and I was too scared of making other people sick to leave the house).

Since then, it’s just been back to work and trying to get caught up and struggling through some serious brain fog. It’s crazy how long it takes to fully rehydrate. It’s also crazy the impact it has on your skin. My entire skin is so dull and dry and itchy; it was terrible timing with the start of winter and dry skin season.

It’s no spend November, so I have nothing to report.

R.E.P.O.R.T.

Reading: A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.

Eating: Mostly bread and applesauce because it doesn’t trigger my stomach.

Playing: 1989 Taylor’s Version Deluxe (I love Bad Blood ft. Kendrick Lamar).

Obsessing: Over drinking water, I ended up in the ER on Monday night with dehydration from my stomach flu and I have been chugging water nearly constantly ever since.

Recommending: sleep. Listen this week has just done the most with my health and it’s been back to basics.

Treating: Myself to evenings watching Grey’s Anatomy with hot chocolate.

Have a great weekend! I’m going to spend it getting some tasks done that I have been putting off around the apartment.
