June in Review

I cannot believe that we are already halfway through 2023. This year has completely flown. So much has happened and there is so much that I still have not gotten done. 2023 has been so much magical than I could have even imagined.

June was the month I really got back into my morning routine, including my walks.

This made me laugh.

June was also a month of beach days.

We had a work retreat and we made these drums and drumsticks and then participated in a ceremony to feast them.

Obviously my highlight for the month is The Eras Tour. There is so much about this that I still cannot believe. I can’t believe I got tickets twelve days before the show. I can’t believe they were like $300. I can’t believe I was in the lower bowl. I can’t believe that I found friends to go with. I can’t believe that the girl I didn’t know on this trip’s Dad is from the same town as my Mom. I can’t believe she played Dear John. It literally feels like a dream.

Growing up we never got to go to concerts, to buy shirts to commemorate an event, to buy drinks at an event. It feels like, I don’t know, it feels like I’ve healed something deep inside.

Side note that selfie is post 3 hours of screaming, crying, singing, dancing, and getting caught in an absolutely torrential downpour. I cannot believe my makeup held up that well.

These are some of the other photos from the trip. I was very excited to also get to go to Trader Joes, Target, eat biscuits and gravy and laughed endlessly at our hotel being on Yankee Doodle Road. Also big props to Minneapolis for the Swiftie Bus. It was so easy.

Look at this picture I took of the night sky one random night.

I drove highway 599 a lot in June, I saw more bears this month than I have ever seen ever before.

I also finally got around to cleaning up my spare room/office and that included finally trying to find a home for my 12×12 scrapbooks and I think I like it so far. Opinions?

I cannot wait to see what July has in store.
