Sephora Sale – VIB Canadian Edition

So to be honest, I actually wasn’t certain if Sephora Canada participated in their semi-annual sale, but Sarah from @TheBirdsPapaya talked about it the other day and the website has all the info on it so I am taking that as a yes!

I’m not certain if I am actually going to buy anything due to budget constraints this month, but I also ran out for cleansing balm yesterday and I am very close to running out of several other items as well. So here is what is in my cart (and currently still in stock as of the evening of Monday, November 8th). I have had a cart of Sephora items for probably a couple months now, waiting until I had enough empties or near empties to be able to order without breaking my Project Pan and not only am I at that point but now we have the Sephora Sale!

I’ve only used two of these products before, the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm and the L’Occitaine hand cream. The Farmacy Cleansing Balm is a holy grail, god-tier product for me. It’s superb. I recently finished my Versed cleansing balm and it just isn’t the same or near as good. The L’Occitaine hand cream is a product I haven’t used since probably 2014? but my nails have never looked as good as they did that winter. I didn’t have eczema the same way then, so I’m a bit nervous about that part. But even the thickest creams only do the bare minimum to control the rash and the itch. But honestly, the way it made my nails look is enough that I would consider tolerating eczema. I don’t wear nail polish, so clean, well-groomed, shiny, moisturized nails is what I do.

The Farmacy Deep Sweep and Caudalie Instant Detox Mask are the other two products that I have had in my cart for ages now. I’m really excited to try them. I’ve been having more breakouts than normal lately and just feeling like my skin is looking dull, so I am hoping that these two can help with that. I’m also planning on getting the Fresh Umbrian Clay bar and making it a low-waste and clean alternative to my Neutrogena Body Clear scrub.

The next is makeup products. I went “out out” for the first time in ages on Friday night and I had such a hard time picking out an outfit and doing my makeup because I am out of nearly all my makeup and I only have work clothes or comfies. It was no fun getting ready, and that’s supposed to be the best part. I also didn’t feel like myself out because I was dressed so plainly, for me.

So I need to rectify both the wardrobe and the makeup situations, but the Sephora sale provides an opportunity to rectify one, they are somehow all Ilia products even though I also intended to get some Westman Atelier and Merit products (although I think I want to get Merit directly from them, because then you get the cute little make up bag). But everything Westman I was interested in was already sold out.

When I was in high school, my Mum gave me this Mary Kay liquid eye shadow and I have yet to find anything like it since, and I don’t buy from MLMs, this Ilia one seems pretty close in colour and texture. I also used up my Fenty eye pen and I think I will replace it with this Ilia one. I have been wanting to try the new Ilia mascara since it came out.

If I had unlimited funds I would also get the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream, a Dyson AirWrap, The Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, Burberry Brit Perfume, and the Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant.

I know I’m repeating myself here, but I feel like I need to be transparent that I may not actually be shopping the sale. I’m going to be doing math on Tuesday night after work and figuring out if I should or should not shop. Actually now that I’m thinking about it, I may wait until Thursday or Friday and see what impact my winter tires truly have on my bank account.

P.S. As of 10:31 PM Central time on November 8th, 2021 these were all in stock!
