The Friday Edit: Vol. 37

Weekend Reading//

For the holidays: do we really all need to be tablescaping our dinner tables?

And: how to budget for the holidays.

Gift Guide Season: Food Forward, Carly’s “For Her”, Under $25USD White Elephant Gifts

I refuse to get another subscription service, but the Lessons in Chemistry (Apple+) show looks so good, I love the book, and the costumes look amazing.

The best tennis brands according to Vogue.

The most common concerns Grandparents brig up in therapy.

I really want to become a morning person, so I’m reading every article I see about how to not be a night owl.

How to actively choose hope.

Cordial glasses are a drink trend I can get behind.

In the year of being a girl, there was one archetype we haven’t gotten to yet; the angry girl.

There is no good way to pee in a body suit, even the ones with snaps.

The closing shift.

The story of Erewhon. (Even if you have avoided hearing about the most expensive grocery store in America, this is a really good story, well done Kerry Howley).

It’s mostly Americans who read my blog, but for the Canadians: Has Indigo lost the plot?

Catching Up//

What I Read in October.

A Week in Outfits.

Financial Fitness Check-In: October 2023 (this was rough).

What I’m Buying in November.

Caught My Eye//

This adorable green croc handbag.

This sculptural of a Connect 4 set.

These very simple gold heels (I was looking for a pair in September and this is exactly what I had in mind and couldn’t find).

A stunning black tie winter reading dress.

A gorgeous green velvet blazer.

Double-wrap leather watch. Stunning.

Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T.//

Reading: The Survivalists by Kashana Cauley (I’m not really sure what I think about this yet).

Eating: Applesauce, bread, potatoes, oatmeal. Yeah…

Playing: Still 1989 Taylor’s Version Deluxe.

Obsessing: Indigo blankets. I had no clue these were EIGHTY dollars.

Recommending: Doing all your chores on Thursday night.

Treating: This sounds insane, but to doctors’ appointments. I never go to the doctor, because I always think I am being dramatic. But then I go to the doctor and they always validate me, so I’m not being dramatic.

Have a great weekend, I have a long weekend this week. We are closed on Monday for Remembrance Day and I wish the holiday was today, but I’ll take it with no complaints.
