The Friday Edit: Vol. 29

Well for a synopsis of this week, I completed a project at work that I’m really proud of (first in a while), and took a COVID test, also the first in a while. It came back negative, keeping up my record of never having a positive test. So mixed, but more positive than I was honestly feeling about this week lol.

Weekend Reading//

Not exactly setting the weekend mood with this one, but good work habits from Meghan.

Dorm decor has changed so much since 2012. But Carly shared her original post from back when she was a freshman in 2009, and it’s such a time capsule.

How to be a good adult to the kids in your life.

Used to Be Young will be the song Miley Cyrus is remembered for.

I didn’t watch Summer House this year, but next year I will be sat.

Safe partying tips.

This athleisure round-up is so chic.

Romanticize your job a little.

This article sparked a lot of internet chatter this week: I Can’t Afford to Hang Out with My Friends Anymore.

Catching Up//

August in Review.

A Week-ish in Outfits.

How I Clean Out My Closet (this one is complete dep-dive and a bit unhinged).

Caught My Eye//

I placed my first Abercrombie order, it hasn’t arrived yet, but this is what I ordered: High-rise 90s Jeans in Dark, Sloan Tailored Pant in Black and Brown, this tweed jacket in black that reminds me of a J. Crew Lady Jacket, I got this skirt in blue denim, but cannot find it anywhere now, a couple tank tops for layering, and this blue v-neck sweater that may have gotten cancelled as they might have sold too many. So I am still on the lookout for like a baby blue sweater for the fall.

And this is technically concert merch for a concert I didn’t go to – although I totally would have! – but I can picture this graphic tee as part of so many outfits.

I’m going to go in detail in a post soon about fall fashion and my fall wardrobe.

This Week//

Reading: Finished A Bakery in Paris by Aimie Runyan

Watching: I’m now trying to watch Buffy and Angel in consecutive order, moving back and forth between the two. (Disney+)

Listening: Snow Angel (whole album) by Renee Rapp, Back on 74 by Jungle, Used to be Young by Miley Cyrus, How Do I Do This by Kelsea Ballerini, I Can See You by Taylor Swift.

Food & Drink: I have nothing exciting to report here.

Working On: Listening to my body.

Achievement: Going through the pile of papers on my desk and filing all the admin papers, now I just need to get back into scrapbooking.

Thinking About: How glad I am this is a long weekend. I’m so tired.

Have a fantastic weekend!! If you’re in the northern hemisphere promise you’ll go to like a beach or pool or something this weekend.
