Weekend Reading//
The most beautiful libraries in the world.
I really want to make this sheet pan gnocchi recipe.
If you aren’t on SwiftTok, you may have missed the mind-melting drama that was Karlie Kloss in the 200 or 300s of Sofi Stadium on the last night of the first leg of the US tour. Shonda Rhimes couldn’t write such a drama.
I went from barely travelling for the past 5 years, to suddenly doing a lot, so I have been deep in the “travel tips” section of blog posts, including this one and this piece from Self Mag.
Translated fiction is hugely popping off.
Your pre-resignation check list.
I would love to learn how to make croissants.
Catching Up//
Late Summer Wedding Guest Dresses.
And no post from Monday as it was a holiday.
Caught My Eye//
So many things this week:
- Mango Tweed Jacket
- J. Crew Black and White Stripe Lady Jacket
- J. Crew Factory Polo – I’m loving this new (old?) shape of Polos
- J. Crew Blue and White Stripe Shirtdress
- French Sole Baton Heels – a decent knock off of those Chanel pumps
This Week//
Reading: Bad Cree by Jessica Jones – creepy and fantastic so far
Watching: Age of Influence on Disney+. This show is about people who have become influencers in order to scam or take advantage of other people. I think it does kind of paint all influencers with a bad brush, but I also think it is important that the general public does have awareness about how people may not be who they say they are. Lots of productivity vlogs on YouTube.
Listening: 1989 – Stolen Version, Speak Now – Taylor’s Version, Vienna – Billy Joel, Girl – Maren Morris, Bad on Paper Podcast: Getting Creative.
Fitness: Well, I downloaded The Pilates Class app.
Food & Drink: Chicken salad sandwiches and pesto pasta are all I want to eat.
Working On: Consistently being a few days ahead for content.
Achievement: Actually picking 10 pictures for my vacation Instagram lol.
Thinking About: The idea of making decisions based on if you in one year would be proud of the decision.
Have a great weekend!
Laura
