Late Summer Wedding Guest Dresses

I think we normally associate wedding season with May (maybe even April) to July. However, this year, I have a wedding in August, September, and October, and I am finding figuring out how to dress for them challenging. August not so much, it is definitely still summer, but late September and early October are such a crapshoot for what the weather could be like. It could be 10C and raining or it could be like 25C and gloriously sunny and so I am struggling.

One. This J.Crew dress is so gorgeous. I know some people are totally against absolutely any white on a dress, even in a pattern, but I think that this is perfectly acceptable. I love the shape and the emerald green of this. Available in sizes 00 to 24.

Two. This is the navy version of the lilac gingham Hill House Home dress that I wore to my cousin’s wedding, it is super comfortable, and even my 40H chest could go braless and feel very supported in it. I think navy is a season-less colour, but the deeper tone does definitely lean a bit more fall. Available in sizes XXS to XXL

My posture could be better, but I really loved how I looked and felt in this dress.

Three. Odd Muse is a brand that I have been seeing all over my TikTok and they look so cute. They are a UK brand and I have a gut instinct that they may run small, but it is all so cute. This dress is currently sold out, but will be restocking on Aug. 29 and pre-orders will ship then. Available in sizes XXS to XXL.

Four. This dress is so pretty, and could be fancy enough for black tie? I’ve never actually been to a black tie wedding, but to me this looks right. Canadian brand, available in sizes S to L.

Five. This colour is so fall. You will look like a gorgeous autumn maple tree in this (that’s a compliment). Canadian brand, currently only available in a L.

Six. I think this would be so perfect for a late August, early September more casual wedding. I love the dark floral print. Currently 20%, but only size 24 available.

Seven. To me, this is a downtown wedding guest dress. I don’t know exactly why, but it feels like a city wedding to me. I love how slim the skirt is, but the little flare at the bottom.

Eight. This colour might be hard to pull off, but maybe on darker skin tones? But I love the pearl neckline. Available in sizes XXS-XXL.
