The Friday Edit: Vol. 17

This was one of the busiest and funnest weeks I’ve had in a while (and yes, I know “more fun” is grammatically correct, but not as fun as saying funnest). Last Saturday I went to the next town over to run errands, and the girl in Starbucks told me I looked like a Disney Princess. That night one of my friend’s had a barbecue and then there was a social that night. Then on Sunday, I forced myself to get up and go for a hike with some of my other friends and then we waded into the still very cold water to cool down. Then Monday was back to work, and then on Wednesday a friend and I drove to one of the drive-in communities to attend their fire department fundraiser and fire fighter graduation. It was kind of a work thing, but fun, and cool. Not a lot of the communities I work with have trained fire fighters so it’s really exciting.

Weekend Reads//

How to evict the people living in your head rent free.

I love this idea: “City Girls Who Walk”.

I’m scheduling a “Bed Rot” day for this weekend.

“The literary mean girl”.

I got a lot of inspiration from this summer reading list.

I just want to go to the Amalfi Coast now.

This is such an adorable (and expensive) pickleball round up.

Casual office outfits that I’m going to take inspo from.

Catching Up//

Caught My Eye//

Most sizes seem to be sold out, but this metallic heel is meeting a lot of my requirements: ankle strap, not too high, but not too low, not a straight across the foot strap, “neutral metallic”. But I also really like the vintagey look of this one.

I’m on the hunt for a white dress or formal jumpsuit for an event in July, so far I’ve identified this Abercrombie dress, and this J. Crew shift dress.

Weekly Media//

I’m still slowly working my way through Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer for shows, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow for books.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Laura
