May may have become my favourite month of the year. Everything is coming back to life, including me. The weather has gotten so good, people are back to being out and about, the lilacs are blooming and life is just good. The water is still too cold, but summer is just beginning.

I went down to Thunder Bay for a final piercing appointment and waxing appointment and came across a really packed antique store with some great stuff and some junk, but I loved this drawer of matchbooks. There were some really cool ones.

Look at the view from this school.

This sign has been on the door since the start of the pandemic, and apparently I am the first to notice that it says “pubic” instead of “public”.

Ignoring how dirty my car was, I finally found the usb port in my car to be able to play music from my phone, I laughed so hard when it came up as an iPod, what a blast from the past.

I’m obsessed with my outdoor set up.

We didn’t have any nearby fires at the time, but this was the effect of the smoke from the fires in Alberta on the sunset.

I got to stay up in Pickle Lake while traveling for work and the last time I did that was in February 2022 and it was so cool to see it in the summer. And it’s just gorgeous out on their patio.

First hike of the season.

And morning walks to the beach are back.

And that’s a wrap on the month of May. I’m super excited for this summer, it is so exciting to have a full summer of plans but with plenty of room for spontaneity.
Here’s to a great June!
